ACE*Timer is a production oriented end user transaction timing and monitoring
tool for ORACLE SQL*Forms applications.  It measures end user response time
with accuracy, and automatically alerts you when performance falls below a
level you have set as acceptable.  For example, you can have ACE*Timer send a
mail message to the DBA, or send a message to the system console.  ACE*Timer
helps you accomplish the goal of keeping applications running at peak levels
of efficiency by providing information in all these areas:

For application tuning, it measures the execution time of transactions and
statements within those transactions.

For performance monitoring, it notifies you when an application's performance
falls below a level that you have set as acceptable, and automatically
performs an alert action you have predefined.

For system analysis, ACE*Timer measures the execution time of applications
running at different nodes of the system, and helps you determine the net
effect of tuning efforts.

For capacity planning, it measures that load put on the CPU by all or selected
applications at different times of the day.

ACE*Timer's reports offer a wealth of information at the statement, trigger,
and form levels.  In addition, users can build their own reports to address
even more specific needs.
